For over four decades, the Albert Einstein Residence Center provided a welcoming home for a diverse community of low-income older adults and adults with disabilities. In March 2024, the organization transferred ownership of the facility to a new company, which undertook renovations while maintaining it as HUD-subsidized housing for older adults.
Distributions from the proceeds of the sale will be used for grants to local nonprofit organizations that serve low-income older adults and adults with disabilities. The board of directors is committed to ensuring the funds make a meaningful impact in Sacramento.
