Judi is a seasoned healthcare and nonprofit professional with more than forty years of experience serving individuals with complex medical and social needs.
A registered nurse, Judi has held diverse clinical and administrative roles throughout her career. Most recently, she worked over a decade for the California Department of Public Health as a health facilities inspector, evaluating skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and hospices. For seven years she served as Executive Director of Jewish Family Service of Sacramento, overseeing programs in mental health counseling, senior support, respite care, transportation, and refugee resettlement.
Earlier in her career, Judi was a nurse consultant to health plans, medical groups, and hospitals, specializing in cost-reduction and quality improvement strategies. She also served as Director of Healthcare Management Services for Blue Cross of California. Her clinical experience includes eight years as a staff RN in Chicago and San Diego hospitals.
She currently volunteers as a Disaster Services Nurse with the American Red Cross, assisting families affected by emergencies in recovering essential medical items lost during a disaster.
Outside of her professional life, Judi enjoys walking, yoga, aerobic dance, gardening, reading, and spending time with friends. She is also a proud grandmother keeping up with four young grandchildren.
